Sandustry Kinetic Press Guide and Setup
Sandustry Kinetic Press guide for Burnt Residue: use a clean drop, keep output space open, and prevent clogs caused by excess throughput or mixed material.
What does the Kinetic Press process?
The Kinetic Press processes Burnt Residue into Gold and Seed according to the supplied material. It needs a clear falling input rather than a pile placed directly on its surface. Keep unrelated material out of the chute because it can rest on top and block later particles.
Build a vertical feed
The source notes describe a drop of at least 25 blocks for Burnt Residue. Leave the press top clear and make the output space underneath accessible. If a press is not converting material, first check the height, then check for a single lodged pixel.
Prevent high-throughput jams
Letting too much Burnt Residue arrive simultaneously can create a pile instead of a steady conversion flow. A filter above the drop can meter the input, and angled Launchers can move missed particles to a recovery path. Test one press before building several parallel presses.
Separate and recycle missed material
Route only Burnt Residue to the chute and collect Gold and Seed below it. Any missed material should be returned to the top through a dedicated recovery lane, not mixed with raw Residue. This keeps a temporary failure from becoming a full factory cleanup.
